high school classes

overview

To provide a comprehensive and quality High School Program, we offer core classes in science, history, literature which are key to forming a Biblical worldview and reflect the core vision of the RGES program. Each class emphasizes study skills, note taking, and written compositions. Biblical principles of each subject are presented, and students are equipped and trained to analyze current and historical development from a Biblical perspective.

For British Literature 1, a Zoom meeting is scheduled every two weeks to engage the teacher and other students in thoughtful discussion of key ideas.  Zoom meetings are optional to attend but are included in the course cost. The tentative time for this Zoom meeting is bi-weekly odd lessons (3,5, etc.) Tuesdays 2:00-3:15 pm.

For Science, History, and Government courses, an optional on-site Lab is offered and meets every two weeks on-site at Hoffmantown Church. These optional Labs have an additional fee and must be enrolled in separately. The tentative time for Earth Science and Geology is odd weeks Tuesdays 9:30-11:30 am. Tentative time for American History is even weeks Tuesdays 9:30-11:30 am.

For Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, an optional Zoom meeting is scheduled every other week. This is included in the course cost and serves as a tutorial time for any questions and concerns. Tentative Time for this Zoom meeting is Tuesdays 2:00-3:15 pm even weeks.

Parents grade all Mid-High and High School written work.  The Parent Handbook for each subject is designed to give clear guidance to parents about grading student homework, writing, tests, and quizzes.  Grading keys are provided for all assignments.
